Fauny
Have fun while learning about Colombian birds and frogs
Fauny is an app that aims to encourage children to explore the diversity of birds and frogs found in different natural parks in Colombia through challenges that help them acquire knowledge about new species.
As a UX/UI designer, my role involved creating a unique and engaging experience, as well as designing an intuitive and user-friendly interface that allows users to navigate the app smoothly and access information in a clear and concise manner.

Insight
- Digital tools have distanced children from experiencing nature in a way that allows them to interact directly and thoughtfully with the national fauna. Similarly, it is important for such situations to be supervised by responsible adults who ensure the participants’ integrity
Solution
- Through an app, information about each species, whether it’s a bird or a frog, is presented, offering the opportunity to participate in a challenge that may involve taking a photograph or drawing of the observed animal. Each submission will be reviewed by experts who will approve the content and award a prize to the participant. Levels will be maintained, which are related to the number of challenges won. Ultimately, it will be an adult who is responsible for registering minors within the app.
Design System
Embark on a journey to discover marvelous species
Using Figma, I developed an interactive prototype that allows visualization of different flows based on the type of user, whether it be a parent or a child. This prototype provides an immersive experience that showcases the app’s functionality from the perspective of each user.
